A festival for 90 churches doesn’t just happen in one day. It gets built in the weeks before it.

If you lead a church in Mansfield, you’ve probably already had this thought that you want your people there on August 22 because you believe in the salvation of souls. And then comes the quiet objection — the one every faithful pastor feels: “we’re already maxed out.” The calendar’s full. The team runs hot. One more outside commitment feels like subtraction from your own flock.

Here’s the thing. Godsfield heard that objection before you said it. So the work leading up to the Festival of Hope isn’t improvised — it’s structured. There are real training events, on real dates, designed so your church plugs in instead of building from scratch.

Two of those structures sit right in front of you this month.

On July 11, there’s an Equipped to Go training. The name says the point. It’s not a pep rally; it’s preparation — getting volunteers ready to actually do the work of the day, so nobody shows up on August 22 wondering what they’re supposed to be doing. The flyer for it carries Matthew 9:37, and it’s worth saying out loud: “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” That’s not a guilt trip. It’s the structural problem Godsfield exists to solve. The harvest is the whole city. The workers are scattered across congregations. Equipped to Go is where those scattered workers get pointed in the same direction.

Then on July 18, there’s a Child Evangelism training. Because a citywide festival isn’t only for adults, and reaching kids effectively takes its own preparation. You don’t wing that. You get equipped for it.

You see what’s happening here. This is the answer to “we’re maxed out.” Godsfield isn’t adding a third thing to your already-full week and leaving you to figure it out. It’s pooling the outreach you’re already straining to do alone into one effort big enough to matter — and then handing you the framework to step into it. The training’s already scheduled. The tracks are already named. You bring your people. You don’t bring a committee.

That’s the difference between this and the one-off events that came and went. You’ve been to those. They felt good in the moment and then evaporated — nothing carried the unity past the night. The reason the Festival of Hope is different isn’t because it is a bigger stage. It’s the structure underneath it. A rotating board. It has a host-rotation history that is seven years deep. And now a leadup season of actual trainings, so the day itself rests on weeks of preparation instead of resting on hope alone.

The proof that this structure works is already on the record. March of Prayer has filled its host calendar for seven straight years — 31 nights this past March, a different church carrying each one. Jordan Baker, Godsfield’s President, has watched what that kind of prepared, side-by-side work does: “Since the start of March of Prayer in 2019, we’ve seen that when believers from different churches and backgrounds pray side-by-side, something shifts both in the hearts of God’s people and in the local congregations.”

It shifts because somebody did the work to make the shift possible. That’s what the next several weeks are.

Get your volunteers to theses trainings: Equipped to Go on July 11 and Child Evangelism on July 18. Send the people from your congregation who’ll serve at the festival, then let them arrive August 22 ready instead of guessing. That’s the on-ramp. It’s structured precisely so a busy church can say, “yes” without it costing the Sundays and distinctives that make your church unique.
