After a shooting at North Lake Park sparked fear in parts of our community, the Rubies Women’s Group turned their planned fundraiser into a call to action — rallying several churches together to pray for our city, and particularly for our youth. What started as a single response to one event became one of the early “yes” moments that opened doors for cross-church collaboration across Mansfield. The Call to Action gathering is widely credited as a turning point that helped spark the partnerships behind Fan the Flame and the broader Godsfield movement.
